We said we would do anything...

We are so excited that we have to share with you our amazing news. I am not really sure where to begin.

Go into the world and preach the good news to all.

Jesus (Mark 16:15)

                Shane and I went on our first mission trip to Haiti on November of 2010. Ever since then, Haiti has been on our hearts. We have been blessed with the chance to be a huge part of the organization that we first went down with, Healing Haiti. Since our first trip, we have been to Haiti for a combined number of 14 times. Haiti is a place with so much poverty and despair and yet it brings us such joy and fills us with love beyond measure.

Over the last 6 months we have prayerfully been considering serving in Haiti for a long-term mission. We began to pray that God use everything in us, that he show us how to become a Kingdom Couple. We have become consumed with love for Jesus and the mission that he has given all who follow him; to serve the least of these. God has answered our prayer and is leading us to serve in Haiti. We are planning on serving in Haiti for two years and are leaving it all up to God as to where this may lead us. God continues to open up doors and reveal Himself and the plans He has for us. Although there are still doors to be opened, we are certain that God will provide everything we need as we follow His plan for our lives.

                We are so blessed and humbled to be working with the organization Healing Haiti and serving the children and people of Haiti. Shane and I have been serving on the Mission Team where I have had the role of Lead Advocate of Leader/Team Training, basically I have been able to be a part of training the 80 plus amazing team leaders of Healing Haiti. Shane has been a invaluable part of this role in support and also with his amazing input and wisdom.

                As we begin we would love it if you would journey with us and help us to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus in such a poverty stricken country. This is a journey that we will undoubtedly need to be bathed in prayer every step of the way. We ask that you would help cover us in prayer as we prepare for this journey and for the years to come. We know that God answers prayers! We are currently asking for prayers for wisdom and guidance and that God would provide for us financially. Also, that God will give comfort to our family and friends that we are leaving behind. That God prepares our heart, soul, and mind for the journey ahead and that we would follow His lead in all of this. We cannot do this without your prayers, and knowing that you have us covered give us peace while we get ready for this amazing journey God has chosen us for.

Beyond your prayers, if you feel led to join us by financially supporting us on this journey, we would be so grateful. We are leaving our jobs, renting our house and moving our family of 5 to live in Haiti. This is a scary and exciting thing, and we can’t do it without your help. We know that in following God’s call, He will provide for us all that we need. Please prayerfully consider ways in which you may be able to support us as we follow God’s call to be a missionary. We wish we could put into words how excited we are to give God our “anything. We know God has something amazing planned for us, our children, the people of Haiti, and those we leave behind! God is so good!!
